Dr. Madeline Foster-Martinez is a research associate at the University of New Orleans. She has a PhD in Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelors of Civil Engineering from Cooper Union. Her research focuses on our coastlines and how humans and infrastructure can interact more sustainability with natural coastal processes. She spends most of her time studying wetlands, like marshes and mangroves, but also loves all things waste management. She is interested in how we can learn from the pre-plastic ways of doing things and is eager to help further the mission of Plastic Punch!
